The landline subscribers are required to pay the monthly bill well before the due date mentioned in the bills. If not paid, the landline connection is abruptly cut off. But when giving a complaint, there is no staff available at the Porvorim Exchange, neither the officer in-charge.
On enquiring, it is given to know that the staff has not been paid for over seven months neither the lineman is given any travelling allowances or transport facility to attend the customers complains. Once so active and full of life, the BSNL at Porvorim is totally dead today with no power supply, staff or any officer in-charge to attend the customers’ grievances.
Come monsoon, we are having problems with background noise disturbing incoming calls, caller voice becoming unable to hear. Where is all the money collected from the subscribers going. One wonders.
