VASCO: Chicalim Youth Farmers Club strongly opposed the three linear projects which include doubling of railway track, expansion of national highway NH4A and high tension power line from Mollem.
During a press briefing, CYFC youth opined that they might have to hit the streets and not support the State government in the next Assembly elections if their voices are not heard.
There was a statement of one youth Mauvin Pereira which was erroneously published in the Herald, reported from Vasco, stating that some youth had met Power Minister Nilesh Cabral and they were allegedly threatened and informed that cases would be registered against them and their passports would be held back and these youth won’t be getting government jobs. This is to clarify that Power Minister did not threaten the youth. Their allegation was against some other legislator. The error is regretted.
