Class X stranded students can answer exam in Sept: GBSHSE

PANJIM: The Class X students, who were stranded in various parts of the country due to the COVID lockdown and were unable to answer Board examination, now have an opportunity to answer the supplementary examination, which will be held from September 15. 

As per the circular issued to the school heads, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) have said that the practical examination will be held from September 24. The examination to be held across 11 centers will conclude on September 22. 

“The stranded students, due to lockdown and unable to answer the examination from May 21 to June 6, may also appear for the examination as a one-time measure,” GBSHSE Secretary Bhagirath Shetye said in the circular. 

The students, who have already cleared the Board examination but desire to improve their subject scores can also register for the supplementary exams.

The Board has made it clear that no fresh students will be allowed to answer the supplementary examination, but only those who have answered Board examination previously.   While it is mandatory for the students, appearing for exam to wear mask and also get themselves checked from the health centres before answering the paper.
