Class X supplementary exam begins today

PANJIM: The Class X students, who were stranded in various parts of the country due to the COVID lockdown and were unable to answer the Goa Board Examination held in May, are now set to answer the supplementary exam, beginning from Tuesday. 

Total 1,342 students including 750 boys and 592 girls have registered for the supplementary examination, which will be conducted at 11 centres throughout the State. The exam, conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will conclude on September 22. 

The students, who need improvement, have also registered for supplementary examination along with those students who desire to improve marks. 

The examination will commence at 9.30 am from morning session and at 2.30 pm for evening session in all categories. All the candidates are advised to be present at their respective centres 30 minutes prior to the commencement of examination. Late arrivals beyond 30 minutes after the commencement in each subject will disqualify the candidate from appearing for the examination.

The candidates are directed to carry their own transparent water bottles, face cover, sanitiser liquid and not to carry any electronic gadgets. The candidates are required to follow health protocol strictly in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

Record 92.69 per cent students had cleared Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination 2019-20 held in May, this year.
