PANJIM: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) on Tuesday announced that the results for Class XII examination will be declared on April 28.
“It is official now, the results for the Class XII board examination will be announced on April 28 at 10am. In the last two days there were rumours that the results would be on April 25 and some said that the results have been delayed further but all that information is wrong,” GBSHSE Chairman Ramkrishna Samant said.
In all 18,502 HSSC students had registered with the GBSHSE to appear for the exams that were held across 16 centres from March 5 to March 26. The exam for vocational stream students began on March 6 and concluded on March 17, 2018.
Last year, the board had released the results on April 27, 2017 and had seen a slight drop in pass percentage from 90.10 percent in 2016 to 88.77 percent in 2017. The Board had attributed this to the increase in number of students who had answered the exam as compared to the preceding years.
Meanwhile, results of Class X are likely to be announced by May 25, however the date is not confirmed as paper correction is still underway.
