CM accuses Cong of displaying hatred towards Hindus

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has accused Congress of displaying hatred towards Hindus.

Sawant tweeted his reaction about the book authored by Congress leader and former union minister Salman Khurshid, which was recently released by another Congress leader and former union minister P Chidambaram, who incidentally is present in Goa.

“Congress can stoop to any level to appease a particular section. Apart from votes, it comes out of their hatred towards the Hindus. Salman Khurshid’s book is an insult to the Hindu community. P Chidambaram, who is in-charge of Indian National Congress’ Goa campaign, not only released the book but in the past had played a crucial role in coining the word Saffron Terror. People of Goa will not take these insults lying down,” said Sawant.

BJP Goa State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade also tweeted about the book and like Sawant, shared a page from the book that they said had objectionable content.

“Deep-rooted hatred of Salman Khurshid for any ideology reflects in his book “Sunrise Over Ayodhya”. While I strongly condemn the comparison of Hindutva with radical organisations, what is deafening is the silence of Indian National Congress leaders, including the ‘Gandhi Parivar’ and P Chidambaram,” said Tanavade.
