CM asks panchayats to work hard to make State self-sufficient

Reviews progress of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampoorna Goa prog with the 191 local bodies via video conference

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho had a video conference meeting with all the 191 panchayats in the State to review the progress of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampoorna Goa programme.

The Chief Minister took to social media to inform about the meeting and held an interaction via video conference with all the elected members of the panchayats to discuss about the progress of #Aatmanirbharbharat #Swayampoorna Goa programme. 

He said that there was great participation and energy on the ground for making Goa self-sufficient.

Sawant said to achieve the target of Swayampoorna Goa, the local bodies and the representatives will have to work hard to make the State self-sufficient.

“The State government has given 16 parameters to all the panchayats to make the State self-sufficient,” he said.

The Chief Minister also said that he has directed the Directorate of Panchayats that all the village bodies be honoured with COVID-19 warrior certificate for being in the frontline at time of pandemic and helping the people.
