CM: Build sustainable, skilled human resources in State

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Saturday directed the officials to work proactively to build sustainable and skilled human resources in the State.

Sawant chaired a meeting on Saturday along with Minister for Skill Development Vishwajit Rane with the officials of Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to work proactively to build sustainable and skilled human resources in the State, said the CM’s social media handles. 

He urged them to work on the aspect of industrial interface to meet the practical requirements of a company.

Taking to social media, Minister for Skill Development Vishwajit Rane wrote, “Thankful to CM Dr Pramod Sawant for giving 12,000 sq mts of land back to the Skills Department to build a state-of-art institute in Goa.”

“I recommended to the members that the said premises be built through the PPP mode so that the best in market private players are on-boarded in to build the skilling center. We shall also be building our new headquarters on the same premises in order to maintain financial austerity,” Rane said.

Meanwhile, Rane thanked Chief Minister for his relief to industries.

“Grateful to CM Dr Pramod Sawant for granting relief to Industries in the state for annual instalment of land lease premium for the financial year 2020-2021,” Rane wrote reacting to the package announced by CM for industries on Friday.

“With this development we hope to enhance industries in the state and offer fruitful opportunities in terms of revenue, developments & employment to the people,” he said.

Further, following opposition to IIT, he said IIT in Guleli-Sattari is a feather in the cap of Goa. 

“It will put Goa on the global educational map. With this, there will be tremendous opportunities not only for people of Sattari and Usgao but the entire state of Goa,” he said.
