Panjim: In view of the fatal accident at Borim that killed three electricity personnel and critically injured others, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant cancelled his online interaction with students, which was scheduled on Thursday evening.
“In view of the tragic incident at Borim, wherein precious lives have been lost, Chief Minister has decided to cancel his scheduled programmes for the day including the online interaction with students,” CMO office informed.
The CM rushed to GMC, Bambolim, where four workers, who were critically ill have been admitted, to assess the situation.
Sawant was scheduled to interact with nearly 1000 students, who recently passed their Class X and Class XII board exam, through webinar, on host of issues and challenges, from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.
The interaction was also supposed to be telecasted live on social media platform of the Chief Minister’s Office for the students presently studying in class IX, X, XI and XII.
Sources said that as informed earlier, the link of the webinar was also forwarded to the participating students. “The students were later informed about the cancelation of the programme,” sources said.
