CM didn’t utter a word in my support: Tousif

PANJIM: Tiatr director Tousif de Navelim who has been living under the shadow of fear but staged his tiatr with the backing of the people has accused Chief Minister Parrikar for "being silent" when he was facing threats from elements in Sri Ram Sene. In an interview to Herald (see page 9) he said

“First, Ravindra Bhavan tried to silence the tiatrists by coming out with a draft undertaking and now this uproar by the Ram Sene over my tiatr. Sadly, none of the ministers or ruling MLAs has supported me. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar could have cleared the atmosphere, but he preferred to remain silent. These elements have even threatened to kill my family.”
Parrikar ought to have come out in my support being a citizen of Goa, but he has not extended any support. He has not uttered a word. I have given names of people and the telephone numbers, but the police have not laid their hands on them. He is the home minister and he should have directed the police to nab the callers.
