PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant expressed his happiness over the ranking as one of the best performing States in the Country as per the Sustainable Development Goal Index 2020-21 by Niti Aayog.
Goa held the third joint position amongst the States and was the fourth highest in the list that included Union Territories.
Sawant also pointed out that the State had improved its ranking from 7th position in the 2019-20 Index. Goa’s overall score also jumped from 65 last year to 72 this year.
“I thank the people of Goa for their continued support in taking Goa on the path of development and progress. We have scored 100 per cent on clean water & sanitation, and affordable & clean energy as per NITI Aayog SDG India 3.0. I also thank our officials and workforce who have been working relentlessly towards achieving these goals,” said Sawant.
