Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday chaired a pre-budget meeting to plan for the financial year 2020-21.
Sawant is likely to present the State Budget 2020-21 on February 6. This will be his first full Budget after taken over as Chief Minister in March last year.
“Held pre-Budget meeting with Chief Secretary, Secretaries, IAS, IPS, IFS & officials of State Govt to plan development programs for coming financial year,” the CMO tweeted.
Sources revealed that Sawant directed secretaries and department heads to meet with Ministers concerned to review ongoing schemes, proposals and plan new initiative in their respective fields.
Directions have also been issued to see the implementation of Central government schemes in the State, sources added. “CM wants to know whether Central government schemes are effectively implemented in the State and are reaching the beneficiaries,” sources said.
