CM inspects Sanguem sub-registrar office

SANGUEM: Taking cognizance of Herald report on the non-occupancy of the cabins at the office of the sub-registrar cum civil registrar in Sanguem, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar inspected the same on Thursday.

SANGUEM: Taking cognizance of Herald report on the non-occupancy of the cabins at the office of the sub-registrar cum civil registrar in Sanguem, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar inspected the same on Thursday.
He was accompanied by Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar, State Registrar Bodke, the PWD and Electricity Department Officials.
Herald had highlighted that the cabins constructed for the officials have remained unoccupied since last four years for want of proper electricity connection and damaged flooring.
Due to poor quality of the construction work, the floor tiles at many places in the office of the sub-registrar are broken and need immediate replacement. Besides, costly furniture bought for the sub-registrar have also remain unused.
Due to the non-installation of the desired electric fixtures and fittings, the cabins which were constructed some four years ago are lying vacant and the department officials are compelled to sit and work in the area reserved for record room.
After the visit, Parrikar directed the officials concerned to put the things in place, while simultaneously directing the PWD officials to repair the damaged portion of the floor tiles immediately.
Parrikar also visited the government Primary Health Centre in the town which is in need of immediate improvement of medical services. 
After acquainting himself with the functioning of the PHC, Parrikar assured to improve the medical services provided at the Centre. 
Earlier in the day, Parrikar visited the Netravali village where he had a brief meeting with the party workers in view of the fast approaching.
