CM interacts with COVID cured patients

Urges them not to hesitate to tell others that they have recovered from it

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday interacted with COVID-19 patients who had recovered recently and been discharged from COVID hospitals, COVID care centres.

He welcomed the survivors of COVID-19 virus and urged them not to hesitate to tell others that they have recovered from it but also to express their experience which will help people take precautions to fight the disease.

“You people, who were in COVID hospitals and COVID care centres for treatment are the best ambassadors to clear people’s doubts, confusion, fear and misunderstanding about the facilities and treatment provided to them during the period,” Sawant said.

“I am happy to see all of you recovered and fully fit, especially those who willingly came forward to donate plasma for the needy patients and others who are decided to donate plasma,” the Chief Minister said.

Chief Secretary Parimal Rai, speaking on the objective of the interaction, said the pandemic has engulfed the whole State, catching people in its grip. 

The government wanted to know how the things worked from those who underwent treatment and successfully got rid of the virus. This is an attempt to infuse positivity and hope among the people he said and urged them to share their experience amongst the people.

The inmates, two each from all talukas, while sharing their experiences, said the facilities provided in covid hospitals and care centers are adequate and that doctors also gave due attention during their stay there. 

They called for the need to create awareness to deal with the do and don’ts in contracting the disease rather than corona patients. They also emphasized the need to infuse confidence among the people to remove threat of the virus from their mind to fight against the corona virus.
