BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday assured that the retrenched mining workers that they would lay a condition to the lease holders to absorb them with the same salary which they are drawing today.
The CM was speaking after the retrenched workers met him at his residence and assured that no injustice would will be done to the mining workers. The government would lay a condition that the lease holders should secure the job of these workers, he said.
“We have spoken to the management of the mining company and will have talks with the Central Labour Commission in this regard,” the CM stated.
“In next two to three months, the auction process would be completed and we will lay a condition that the lease holders should absorb the retrenched workers,” he said.
