PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has called for an immediate inquiry and sacking of the administrator of Comunidades of South Zone, Margao for alleged absenteeism, leading to lack of supervision of staff and significant delays in office procedures and neglect in disposal of files relating to illegal constructions thus demolition orders, delaying demolitions.
The Calling attention motion was tabled by MLAs Venzy Viegas, Vijai Sardesai, Carlos Ferreira and Viresh Borkar.
Venzy also requested the minister to ensure the repair of the building and that Salary of the Staff be paid by government.
Carlos Alvares Ferreira requested the minister to appoint a full time officer as administrator, he also requested for a time frame for disposal of files and all the duties of the staff should be demarcated, he said.
MLA Vijai Sardesai said the issue centres around the administrator. He holds additional charge, he has not control over the staff and he has to be replaced. Vijai also alleged that the administrator who hold additional charge is habitually drunk on duty, due to which CM ordered and immediate inquiry and his sacking.
