PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday refrained from making any comment on the recent seizure of 100kg ketamine by the Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) from an industry owned by a BJP functionary at Pissurlem.
“We have no information on it as DRI had conducted the raid and seizure. Hence, DRI has the powers to take action and they are taking action,” Parrikar said, responding to a question on whether the State will initiate an independent inquiry into the matter.
The Chief Minister said the raid was conducted independently by DRI and it was not just in Goa but in other States too. “I can’t comment on things which are not in my jurisdiction. It is DRI jurisdiction,” he said.
