PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant emphasised on delivering good governance as he held series of meetings with IAS, IPS and IFS officers in the capital on Sunday.
The officials were directed to identify key challenges in the departments to improve efficiency and simplify the public service delivery with definite time-frame whereas the secretaries and Heads of Departments (HoDs) were asked to review all schemes implemented by State and look for convergence of the same with Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
Information shared with the media later in the evening states that the Collectors have been directed to monitor the implementation of CSS in their respective districts.
“Departments involved in revenue generation shall create an action plan for increasing the same. Regular visits to be made by officers to field offices and project sites to understand ground realities. Redressal of public grievances on priority was highlighted by the Chief Minister. Better policing, expediting investigations in respect of sensitive cases and crimes against children and women, along with leveraging IT for policing was at centre stage of discussion in the meeting with IPS officers,” the release states.
In the meeting with IFS officers, the CM stressed on promoting eco and wildlife tourism, and disposal of forest rights claims of tribals.
