MARGAO: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Minister for Rural Development Agency Michael Lobo skipped the “Goa Saras 2021” and hence South Goa Zilla Panchayat Chairperson Survarna Tendulkar inaugurated the event after waiting for almost one and half hour.
The “Goa Saras” was scheduled for inauguration at 12.30 pm at South Goa Planning and Development Authority ground, Margao. However, later it was postponed to 4 pm, but both the Chief Minister and RDA Minister failed to attend the inaugural function, despite the change in time.
It was witnessed that people and mostly the members of different self-help groups were eagerly waiting for the arrival of the guests, besides all the other officials of the concerned departments were noticed at the entry point with all preparations.
However, after receiving the message that both Chief Minister and RDA minister would be unable to attend the function, the organisers managed to inaugurate the “Goa Saras” at the hands of ZP chairperson.
