PANJIM: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that Goa will create green jobs in the private sector and 2500 vacancies will be filled within the next one year, on a competitive basis.
He also said that Khazan Development and Conservation Board would be constituted and the Land Revenue Code would be amended to prevent agricultural land conversion.
The remaining three mining blocks were already auctioned, he said and announced the setting up of a Veterinary college in Goa.
He was speaking at the 78th Independence Day, near Old Secretariat, Panjim.
Flag hoisting, patriotic song singing and various other cultural programmes were held all over the state to celebrate the 78th Independence Day.
