PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State Convenor Adv Amit Palekar on Thursday said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant should tender his resignation if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) North Goa Parliamentary candidate doesn’t win with one lakh margin.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in the city, Adv Palekar said, “The chief minister has made a statement that in the North Goa constituency party’s candidate will secure the lead. I think the chief minister is a responsible person and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
“I throw a challenge before him that if the candidate does not secure the lead then he will resign on his own because it will reflect his failure. It will prove that he is used to making false and fake statements. Otherwise, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant should have the guts to say that I will resign if we do not get the lead in 20 Assembly constituencies in Goa,” Palekar said.
