CM showers accolades on Lobo, say better days in store for Calangute MLA

PANJIM: Chief  Minister  Pramod  Sawant dropped hints about induction of Calangute MLA Michael Lobo by saying that better days are there for him in future.

Speaking at the occasion of Lobo’s birthday at his Parra residence on Tuesday, Sawant said that Lobo has been working for the welfare of the selflessly and it was evident from his victory margin in the last three Assembly elections.

Sawant remarked, “Though Lobo had quit BJP and joined Congress party ahead of 2022 Assembly elections we were not worried. He (Lobo) had gone (into Congress) alone, but returned to the party fold with seven other MLAs. This is his constructive side,” CM said, adding that Lobo knows how to convince the people.

Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, former MLAs sarpanchas and panchayat members from Calangute constituency, workers and supporters were present.

BJP State president and MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that Lobo has been actively working for the development of his constituency. He said Lobo is one of the MLAs, who will not hesitate to raise any issue concerning the people and the State.

Minister Subhash Phal Desai and MLAs  Digambar Kamat, Aleix Reginaldo Lourenco, Sankalp Amonkar and Dr Chandrakant Shetye also spoke. He lauded his skills and good qualities.
