PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar spent another day in hospital on Wednesday and is most likely to be discharged by Thursday.
As per the Chief Minister’s Office, Parrikar was supposed to be discharged from Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) on Wednesday, however, he was kept under observation for another day.
Parrikar, who is suffering from pancreatitis, was admitted in GMC late Sunday evening for dehydration and low blood pressure.
“Chief Minister continues to be treated at GMC but his condition is stable and fine. He has recovered fully and is likely to be discharged tomorrow (Thursday),” sources said.
In a bid to ensure that he does not get stressed with work, doctors preferred to keep the Chief Minister under observation.
Parrikar had been admitted to Lilavati Hospital on February 15 but was discharged on February 22, the day he presented Budget in the Assembly.
