CURCHOREM: The newly constructed limited height subway at Kamral and Baag Shirford-Khandiwada and foot over bridge at Curchorem Railway Station will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, on Sunday.
While undertaking work of lying parallel railways tracks, South Western Railways (SWR) constructed two subways under the railway line at Kamral Ward and other one at Bag Shirford Ward connecting Khandiwada Ward of Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) and a foot over bridge connecting two railway station platforms which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister in the presence of Power Minister Nilesh Cabral.
Underpass subways was the very long pending demand of the people of these areas particularly of Kamral as they were unable to take any vehicle other than two wheelers to their houses and has to park on the other side of railway track for many years now.
Former councillor Manohar Naik and Felix Fernandes, member of last council repainting the Kamral Ward, expressed happiness and thanked the railway authorities and local MLA for finally fulfilling the longest demand as people from the area suffered for many years for not having proper road access for transportation.
