PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that the traffic plan for the Christmas season is ready and the same will be implemented soon.
“Traffic SP has taken different sorts of initiatives. Traffic plan for everything, including the Christmas season, is ready and the same will be implemented soon,” Sawant told reporters.
When the attention of the Chief Minister was drawn towards the rising number of road accidents in the State, Sawant said the task force constituted for checking accidents has submitted suggestions to the Public Works Department (PWD) and implementation of these suggestions will be started within a time of two months.
Between January and October this year 228 persons lost their lives in 2,365 road accidents.
