In the letter, Ghate has argued that the delay in appointment to the vacant posts has agitated many. He reminded the chief minister that he had gone on a hunger strike after which the former chief minister and now Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had assured him that he would take immediate action on the same.
CM urged to initiate process of appointing info chief
PANJIM: Stating that the Goa Chief Information Commissioner is due to retire in January 2015 and the Goa State Information Commissioner has still not been appointed, RTI activist and former NCP politico Rajan Ghate has written to Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar asking him to initiate the process of appointing the other commissioners.
