PONDA: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Wednesday said today education has reached the doorstep and after completing education students should not sit at home. He urged parents and teachers to give career guidance, and knowledge about various competitive exams to students from class VIII onwards. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Government High School annex building, at Savoi-verem, in Priol Constituency.
Sawant praised the school for securing hundred percent result for eight years. He further said government provides infrastructures for education but parents and teachers need to encourage students and guide them properly in carving out their careers. He said even after graduation many lack knowledge about competitive exams and so there is need to create awareness about them at the school level. They should know how to answer competitive exams. In other States, parents give career guidance to their children from a young age.
The chief minister appreciated efforts of the government school to increase its strength from 70 students to 150 students. He said right from KG to PG the government is providing education to people of Priol Constituency and locals need to take benefit of it.
