PONDA: Stating that the BJP is ai secular party, while Congress divided people on caste and religious lines, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday urged voters to compare 50 years rule of Congress and 10 years performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a meeting at Ponda Bus Stand for BJP South Goa candidate for LS Pallavi Dempo, he alleged that Congress was visionless failed to conduct development while PM Modi being a visionary leader, brought infrastructure development and urged the voters to vote and elect both BJP candidates to fulfil PM’s Viksit Bharat dream.
Further he said Modi has given guarantee of One Nation, One Election, Common civil Code for the country, implementation of CAA and 33 per cent reservation bill in Parliament, while Union Cabinet has also promised political reservation for STs in Goa. He said PM Modi brought several schemes for upliftment of aam aadmi, farmers , women and startup schemes for youth.
BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said during PM Modi’s tenure, the country and Goa saw world class infrastructure development and exuded confidence that the BJP would both LS seats by a huge margin.
Pallavi Dempo said due to PM Modi the country and
Goa witnessed development in the form of roads and
highways.
She further said that the PM introduced 33 percent reservation for women and promised the people that she would honestly work to uplift the people from South Goa.
Ravi Naik urged the voters to elect Pallavi as she is involved in social and educational field and has provided jobs through mining and other business for several decades.
Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar alleged that the Congress is misleading the people and charged that said drugs entered Goa when Congress came to power. Linear projects, coal transportation , double tracking took place during Congress government’s tenure. He held the Congress responsible for mining loot and closure.
