MARGAO: The Margao Congress Block on Thursday said that the act of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant of calling government officers to the Margao BJP office is a clear violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
They demanded that the Chief Minister must come clean and make public the number of Goans, who got government jobs after the Zilla Panchayat elections.
Margao Block Congress Committee President Gopal Naik was reacting to the visit of Chief Minister to BJP’s South Goa district office and his meetings with various sections of the society in the official capacity as the Chief Minister and reiterating his promise of giving 10,000 jobs.
“How can the Chief Minister call all those people who had taken his appointment of official capacity to BJP office,” questioned Naik and demanded that State Election Commission must act against the Chief Minister.
