…CM will surely raid clubs illegally playing music that are disturbing niz Goenkars

Four massage beds, various oils and lotions found on the premises of one massage parlour illegally operating

ANJUNA: In a quick follow up of the CM’s directive to round up massage parlours in the North Coastal tourist belt, one is sure that the CM will now raid all the nightclubs and restaurants in Anjuna, Vagator and the Morjim belt among others.

Herald has consistently listened to the sufferings of local Goans living in that belt whose lives have become a living hell. After initially zeroing in on some of the rogue establishments, it was back to square one when parties playing loud music till the morning of the next day continued with the police turning a blind eye. The CM’s actions will now give hope to the sons and daughters of the soil whose peaceful life has been sacrificed at the altar of loud music.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Anjuna Police raided an illegally Ayurvedic spa and massage parlour at De melo Waddo in Anjuna which was operating without permission from the concerned departments for the last four years.

According to SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, information was received that one massage parlour was

operating in Anjuna without any proper permission/licences from concerned authorities.

SDPO Jivba Dalvi along with PI Vikram Naik and PSI Tejaskumar Naik raided the said premises during which four massage beds, various oils, lotions etc were found.

Dalvi said there was an exit on the back side of the premise to escape in case of emergency.

“Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had given directions to crack down on massage parlours and spas which are operating illegally. On Monday, we raided this parlour which did not have permission from the Health Department, Pollution Control Board, and the panchayat. It did not have a trade license and shop establishment certificate but was operating for four years.”, Dalvi said.

The parlour was managed by one Arokkiyaraj Kulianthaisu a native of Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu who failed to provide any licence/permission for running the parlour. The premises are owned by Santan Dsouza a resident of Soranro, Anjuna.

Police have submitted a report against the manager and the owner of the premises to the Dy. Collector of Mapusa.
