PANJIM: The condition of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who has been admitted at Goa Medical College since Saturday, is normal and he could be discharged in the next few days.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane briefing the media, again reiterated that rumours on the CM’s health are not to be believed. “All health parameters of the Chief Minister are stable. He needs rest and he may be discharged tomorrow or the day after,” Rane said.
He stated that AIIMS doctors who had come down are leaving on Monday night. “And let me tell you, the Chief Minister is not going to Delhi. Dr Pramod Garg is leaving alone. CM is absolutely fine,” Rane said.
He said there is no bleeding at all. “Even if it was there it has been stopped immediately,” he stated.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister’s Office said that Dr Garg, who is heading Parrikar’s treatment conducted a thorough check up of the CM. “The doctors are happy with his progress and the Chief Minister continues to be stable,” CMO said.
Rane confirmed that some party leaders, including BL Santhosh, met the CM in the hospital. “Yes Santhosh met him. Obviously he has come from Delhi and it is but natural he would meet CM who is hospitalised,” he said.
Other leaders, including Speaker Pramod Sawant, Rane, BJP State Co-ordinator Satish Dhond visited GMC Hospital. Chief Secretary Parimal Rai also met CM for official work.
