CM’s constituency tour from Canacona begins on Sat

PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s visit to constituencies ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha election will start on Saturday with Canacona being the first constituency to be visited.

PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s visit to constituencies ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha election will start on Saturday with Canacona being the first constituency to be visited. 
Parrikar’s day-long tour to Canacona will start from Gulem-Karmalghat at 9am, where the BJP Yuva Morcha has planned a welcome. He will then meet and interact with people at Dhavalkhajan Community hall at Agonda at 9.45 am followed by a visit to Mallikarjun temple at Shristhal at 10.30 am and meeting the people at Shristhal Panchayat hall at 11.00 am. At noon, the CM will visit Cotigao Panchayat hall and later interact with people at Gaondongri.
The CM’s tour includes a visit to the Bird Festival at Cotigao, and to the playground at Potke-Belwada, Iddar-Loliem, Veltal Temple, Mahalwada-Poinguinim, Talpan Jetty-Poinguinim. “He will interact with people at these places as well,” a BJP official said.  
A statement by BJP General Secretary Sadanand Shet Tanavade stated that at 4.45 pm, Parrikar will meet with all elected representatives of Canacona at Canacona Municipality Hall wherein government officers of the main departments will be present.
