PONDA: A CNG tanker overturned at the Byghakhol-Borim Circle yesterday. Ponda Fire Station incharge Sushil Morajkar said they received phone call early morning following which they rushed to the site and plugged the leak by calling
by calling experts.
Police stated that the driver Upendra Kumar lost control of the vehicle while negotiating at the sharp circle and was injured.
Locals say that the circle is accident prone and needs to be improvised as traffic towards Margao, Ponda and Panjim besides Belgaum plies along this route.
Earlier in January this year, an Eicher truck loaded with power insulators had overturned at the same spot.
