PANJIM: As a part of relaxation, the State government has allowed operation of all types of co-operative credit societies in State during the extended period of lockdown from April 20.
In an order issued, Registrar of Co-operative Societies Vikas Gaunekar said that all co-operative credit societies like urban, multipurpose, VKKS and multi-State, having valid registration under the Goa Co-operative Societies Act or under the Multipurpose Co-operative Societies Act, are allowed to operate from April 20 to May 3.
The credit societies are directed to adhere to all the safety measures issued against COVID-19 including social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitisation.
