VASCO: The Coast Guard coordinated a medical evacuation of a patient from sea on Wednesday night.
The motor tanker Eagle Milan reached off Goa at 9 pm on Wednesday from which the patient Brij Pal was disembarked by an MPT tug. The patient was shifted to a hospital for medical attention.
A message was received at about 11 am from the captain of an oil tanker ‘MT Eagle Milan’ that its chief officer had severe chest pain and also had high blood pressure. The vessel was about 140 nm off Mormugao.
The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRSC) at Coast Guard Headquarters assessed the situation and called the local agent and ship for further details.
