MARGAO: Following the demands put forward by All Goa Small Scale Responsible Fisheries Union, the coastal police took action against alleged illegal purse seine fishing in Zuari. The Harbour Coastal police raided illegal purse seine fishing in Zuari and seized an unregistered fishing boat loaded with 1,500 kgs of prawns. Totally, two boats were seized with purse seine fishing nets and were towed at the Agasaim jetty. The Fisheries Department registered a case of illegal fishing.
