VASCO: Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik on Saturday said that the Directorate of Agriculture would soon open an agriculture college at Old Goa and set up a coconut development corporation for the benefit of the people.
Naik who was at Vasco to offer prayers to Lord Damodar on the occasion of Saptah said that the agriculture college was already planned in the State so as to motivate Goan students into farming and protect our land for future generations.
Naik disclosed that the government will also set up a coconut development corporation for the benefit of farmers, who could fetch good prices for their coconuts.
The Agricultural Minister further said that all bundhs which were breached would be repaired once the monsoon recedes.
