Coconuts at Rs 20 from Feb 1: Vijai

MARGAO: The Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai has said that the government would intervene and provide coconuts at affordable price to Goans from February 1. 
Vijai was addressing the Republic Day function in Margao after unfurling the tricolor.
Collector Anjali Seherawat, Curtotim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, former Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik, former minister Avertano Furtado were present on the occasion. 
Vijai said that from February 1, each and every Goan would get coconut at the rate of Rs 20 at the horticulture kiosks across Goa. The agriculture minister assured that the government would intervene for price control till the coconut prices are controlled. “By producing the LPG cards, every Goan will be able to get 30 coconuts a month,” Vijai informed. 
While propagating the idea of making Goa a model State in India, he said that the there won’t be any MP in Goa who would ask or bat for changing of the Constitution.
