VASCO: The repair work of the partially fallen ceiling of the newly built Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim has been immediately taken up by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (GSIDC), doctors say.
“The work is likely to be completed within few days and there is no danger to visitors,” a doctor said.
The ceiling has not fallen in a real sense. After the issue was reported in the newspapers, the health officer, medical officers and our team inspected the site and found that on two places there was dampness,” Dr Rupesh Kunkalekar said.
Later, the health officer immediately informed the GSIDC about the ‘dampness’ and urged them to immediately look into the matter as it was eyesore to visitors.
“Then, the GSIDC immediately sent their men to attend to this issue and the work was started recently. It will be finished within few days and there is no problem now,” he added.
