PANJIM: All 35 government and aided colleges, under the administrative control of the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) will on Tuesday announce the merit list of online admission, for the first-year degree programme in general streams for the academic year 2021-22.
Around 11,500, Class XII pass-out candidates have enrolled for admissions in the first round through a common platform from July 20 with August 3 as the last date.
The online admissions were for government and aided colleges under DHE’s administrative control offer a spectrum of courses including BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBA, LLB, music, home science, BSc/B.Ed, BA/BE.d and several others. DHE Deputy Director Mahadev Gawas said that the merit list for the online admission will be displayed on the college websites on Tuesday. He said that the counselling of the short-listed candidates will begin from Wednesday.
Gawas said that the candidates who are shortlisted will have to submit their original documents and pay the fees to the respective colleges to confirm their admission.
“The candidates who did not apply for admission in the first round will get a chance to apply in the second round of admission which will be notified later. We will ensure that all the students are accommodated,” he said.
