The unknown persons also damaged the windscreen of the PCR room, even as the police launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
The incident occurred at around 1.30 am on Monday when the PCR van rushed to Colva following a road accident between a car and a motorcycle. The injured, sources said, were immediately rushed to the hospital by the 108 Ambulance.

Margao Sub-divisional Police Officer, DySP Umesh Gaonkar said that the policemen were attacked by the group after picking an argument over the accident. “The group later hurled a stone on the PCR van, damaging the vehicle”, he said.
DySP Gaonkar said the police have registered a case of rioting, unlawful assembly and for assaulting a government servant on duty.
Replying to a question, he said the police have identified one of the assailants, adding that investigations are on to nab the culprits involved in the assault.
Incidentally, this is not the first time that the Colva policemen has come attack from the people. A couple of months ago, a PSI attached to the police station was reportedly bashed up by a relative of a prominent Minister, a charge which was vehemently denied by the police higher ups.
The Colva police had to also bear the brunt of the bull fight lovers on more than one occasion during dhirios organized along the coastal belt.
