MAPUSA: Suryesh, alias Babu Arolkar, inmate who was undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and hospital after the consumption of Bhang, was discharged on Thursday.
However, the accused person Anil Bhuye who is booked in the case is yet to be interrogated. Mapusa police will be moving an application before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Mapusa, on Friday for his custody to interrogate him.
Since the exact facts of the case are still not revealed, it is suspected that the bhang must have entered the jail with the help of jail staff since no jail staff is being checked before entering the jail. The staff directly enter into the jail with their belongings since the barracks blocks are located inside the jail premises.
Meanwhile, sources also said that every month the jail authorities conduct a welfare meeting of a committee consisting of officials of different departments.
