Colvale Police has apprehended two individuals, identified as Mr. Shahrukh Kareli and Mr. Mohammad Ilahi, both residents of Mapusa, in connection with a molestation case.
The arrest follows a complaint filed by a woman, alleging that the accused verbally harassed both her and her daughter, using explicit language and soliciting sexual favors.
In response to the complaint, the Colvale Police promptly registered an FIR under sections 354, 509, 506(ii) R/w 34 IPC. Subsequently, both accused individuals, Mr. Shahrukh Kareli (24 years old, residing in Dhuler, Mapusa, Goa) and Mr. Mohammad Ilahi (25 years old, residing in Karaswada, Mapusa, Goa), were arrested.
They are currently in police custody. The ongoing investigation is being conducted by PSI Bharat Kharat under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
