Colvale Police arrested one person for stealing a mobile
phone valued at Rs. 10,000. The accused has been identified as 22-year-old
Rashid Mulla, a resident of Nagoa. The
police registered the offence under Section 379 of the IPC.
Under the guidance of Police Inspector Vijay Rane, a team
from the Colvale Police Station, including Police Sub-Inspector Kunal Naik,
Police Constables Sulesh Naik, and Ajay Gawade, were assembled. They pursued
leads, gathered information from credible sources and arrested the accused,
Rashid Mulla. The stolen mobile phone, belonging to the complainant, was
successfully recovered from the accused. Additionally, a scooter which was used
by the accused during the commission of the offense has been seized by the
Colvale Police. Accused Rashid Mulla, was presented before the JMFC Mapuca,
where a 3-day police custody remand was granted.
