PANJIM: The Colvale Police have arrested a 24-year-old Karnataka native who was allegedly involved in a drugs case and absconding for the last one year.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Ratan Awale, resident of Belgaum, Karnataka, involved in a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act) of 1985 case and wanted in a Special Criminal Case (NDPS), was arrested on August 24.
The accused was arrested under the leadership of PI Colvale Police Station Vijay Rane with the guidance of SDPO Mapusa Sandesh Chodankar a̤n̤d̤ over all supervision of SP, North District, Akshat Kaushal (IPS).
