PANJIM: Following Election Commission of India’s (ECI) directions for stricter surveillance, the department of Commercial taxes has begun monitoring movement of cash and freebies, ahead elections.
The department has set up an 24×7 control room with a number 0832-2437915. The public are informed to register complaint with regards to distribution of cash, freebies or inducement by any persons or parties. The department assured details of the persons who share the information will be kept confidential.
Also, the citizens are warned to ensure only genuine complaints are made.
