MARGAO: At his first
council meeting on Wednesday,newly-elected MMC Chairperson Damodar Shirodkar asked the councillors if they agree to retain the size of various committees such as the standing committee, garbage and sanitation committee, subject committee, market committee, and proposed that a two-member committee
be formed to monitor the municipal garage.
He said there is a need to track the work at the garage as well the punctuality of municipal staff like labourers and drivers visiting the garage, using CCTV cameras. On another topic, councillor Camilo Barreto requested the Chairperson to convene another special meeting to discuss the kabrastan issue.
