PANJIM: The State government on Thursday constituted a monitoring committee under the chairmanship of Advocate Renuka Pawar to monitor the affairs of Apna Ghar.
In an order, Women and Child Department Director Dipak Desai constituted the seven-member monitoring committee that has to recommend improvements in Apna Ghar
The committee has to monitor the affairs of Apna Ghar, re-visit the existing setup/protocols and policies and recommend necessary changes.
The order states, “The Monitoring Committee shall meet at least once in a month. The recommendation of the Monitoring Committee shall be in report form and shall contain brief write-up on the problem and ways and means to resolve the problem.”
The members of the committee include Audrey Pinto of SCAN, social workers Martha Mascarenhas and Leela Kamble, Child Care Institution In-charge Fr Joe John Fernandes and Director of Women and Child department. Programme Officer ICPS Sharah Qazi is the member secretary.
