Employees of the South Goa Administrator of Communidades have threatened to go on a pen down strike from August 25 if the government fails to absorb them in government service or pay their salaries for the last four months.
Addressing a press conference, aggrieved employees pointed out that they have not been paid their salaries for four months and demanded that the government immediately disburse their salaries.
Pramod Desai told newsmen that Communidade employees are on par with government servants and demanded they be absorbed in government cadre.
“We are often drafted for official work such as election duties, BLO’s census duties, agricultural census, EPIC drive, Collector’s office, Mamlatdar office. On absorption, we are confident of handling the work efficiently”, Desai added.
