PONDA: Stating that the change in ferry boat service timing has forced them to undergo tremendous hardship, hundreds of employees travelling on Adpai-Rassaim ferry route have demanded that authorities revert to the earlier timing.
The Adpai-Rassaim ferry route is most busy route for the residents of the two talukas, especially the government employees and workers employed in Verna, Vasco, Kundaim, Bethora and Marcaim.
According to social worker Hanumant Naik, earlier the ferryboat used to depart at 8.05 am from Adpoi ramp to Rassaim ramp, and now the timing has now changed to 8.10 am.
Similarly, the departure timing of ferryboat leaving the Adpoi ramp has been changed from at 8.20 am to 8.35 am, which has caused the employees to reach late at their workplace.
Similarly on Durbhat- Rassaim ferry route timing has also changed causing hardship to people travelling through this ferry route.
